The Green Bay Packers have elevated wide receiver Bo Melton and linebacker Kristian Welch from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings, per multiple reports.

Melton lost his spot on the Packers' 53-man roster this week but will be available for the Week 1 matchup. According to Acme Packing Company, the Melton elevation was expected, though the addition of Welch also suggests that linebacker Ty'Ron Hopper may not be available for the game.

Elevations from the practice squad are temporary roster moves that allow players to compete in games without taking up permanent spots on the active roster.
