The New England Patriots are placing wide receiver A.J. Brown on injured reserve due to a high-ankle sprain, ESPN reported via Adam Schefter. Brown will miss at least four games as a result of the injury.

Brown suffered the sprain during the third quarter of the Patriots' season opener against the Seattle Seahawks, per CBS Sports. The 29-year-old joined the Patriots as an offseason acquisition.

Brown was a second-round pick of the Tennessee Titans in 2019 and was entering the final year of his contract with the Patriots, according to one report.
