Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio has posted his Week 7 picks for 2026, which he describes as a best guess at all 14 games to be played this weekend. The feed summary doesn't say which side he took in any game, so we can't tell you his winners here. Yahoo Sports carried the same PFT column and ran a separate "NFL Week 7 Game Picks" piece, whose summary says only that it predicts the winners of this week's matchups.

SB Nation's James Dator also published expert picks. His introduction says the season is "fast approaching the midpoint" with "everything up for grabs." He calls the AFC West and NFC West the only two divisions that "really feel sorted," and says the Chiefs and 49ers look like they're in control of them. Bleeding Green Nation's Brandon Lee Gowton, meanwhile, describes a weekly staff exercise: writers pick every game and the results are tallied over the season.

BenchScout's numbers support Dator's read on those two divisions. The Chiefs are 5-0, lead the AFC West and have won five straight. Their last three wins were 24-10 at Miami on Sept. 27, 30-27 at Las Vegas on Oct. 4 and 22-6 against the Chargers on Oct. 18. The Las Vegas game was the only close one.

The 49ers are 6-0, lead the NFC West and have won six in a row. They beat Denver 24-14 on Oct. 4, won 32-29 at Seattle on Oct. 11, and beat Washington 23-17 on Monday, Oct. 19 (game page). Two of those three wins came by a touchdown or less, or by three points.

The weekend tests both teams on the road, and the Seattle game is notable because each of them has a link to the Seahawks. San Francisco went to Seattle two weeks ago and won by three. Kansas City now goes there for a Sunday, Oct. 25 game at Seattle. San Francisco, for its part, plays at Atlanta the same day.

Both games are on Sunday, so we'll know soon whether the unbeaten records hold. The Chiefs and 49ers are the two teams Dator singled out, and the sources we have don't say whether Florio or the others picked them to win.
