The Pittsburgh Pirates have pushed back Paul Skenes' next start until Wednesday, per Yahoo Sports. The team is providing the pitcher extra rest time ahead of the delayed appearance.
The move comes after the Pirates defeated the Boston Red Sox 8-3 on Sunday at PNC Park, though the game was preceded by a two-and-a-half-hour rain delay. Bryan Reynolds, Brandon Lowe, and Nick Yorke each drove in two runs in the victory, which gave Pittsburgh the series win over Boston.
