Payton Pritchard scored 28 points off the bench on Monday night, and the Celtics beat the Bulls 134-99 at TD Garden. ESPN's report centers on a third quarter in which Pritchard made all five of his 3-point attempts. Sportsnet had Jayson Tatum at 23 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Our box score adds to those accounts. Pritchard shot 10-of-16 overall and 7-of-10 from three in 22 minutes, with four assists, and Boston outscored him by 22 points when he was on the floor. Our season table has him at 2.5-of-7.0 from the field per game over two appearances, so Monday was well above his pace. Tatum was 7-of-17 with seven free throws in 28 minutes. CelticsBlog has him at 27 minutes, a small difference from our box. It also said Tatum set the early pace before Pritchard "broke the game" open.

The game was close for about a quarter and a half. Boston led 33-21 after one, and the second quarter was 33-33. The Celtics then took the third 39-21, which fits ESPN's focus on that stretch. They closed the fourth 29-24 and finished with a 40-point lead at the high mark. Boston shot 21-of-44 from three (48%) and Chicago 12-of-44 (27%). The Celtics also won the boards 54-40 and the paint 46-30.

The depth chart shows in the plus-minus. Sam Hauser was +36 in 20 minutes and scored 11 on 3-of-4 from deep. Hugo Gonzalez had 13 points and was +34. Neemias Queta, at +32, had seven points, five rebounds and two blocks. Paul George added 16 points. Both teams committed 25 total turnovers, though Chicago's cost it 39 Boston points, against 17 the other way.

For Chicago, Norman Powell scored 20 on 4-of-7 from three and Caleb Wilson had 17. The Bulls are 0-3 and fifth in the Central. Before this game they lost 124-120 to Washington on Saturday and 135-92 at Toronto on Oct. 21. They have now been outscored by 79 points across the two games they lost by the widest margins. Noa Essengue played 16 minutes and went 0-of-5 with five fouls.

Boston's recent form is uneven. They won 125-120 at Philadelphia on Oct. 16 and lost 121-113 at Detroit on Oct. 20. CelticsBlog says Boston dropped its first game and has found its groove at home, but our records and its game count don't line up, so we aren't citing one here. The Celtics host Brooklyn on Tuesday, and Chicago visits New York on Wednesday. The two teams meet again at TD Garden on Oct. 30.
