The Raiders have agreed to a three-year extension with tight end Michael Mayer worth $45 million, per multiple reports. The deal includes $30 million guaranteed, with an average annual value of $15 million that ranks fourth among current NFL tight end contracts.
Mayer is stepping in for injured star tight end Brock Bowers to start the regular season. While Bowers is the centerpiece of Las Vegas' tight end room, the franchise's investment in Mayer indicates they view him as a significant part of their offensive plans. The extension locks in the 25-year-old for the next three seasons.
