The Boston Red Sox activated outfielder Roman Anthony and shortstop Trevor Story off the 60-day injured list Sunday ahead of the final game of their series against the New York Yankees.
Anthony has been sidelined since May 7 with a torn tendon in his right ring finger, per Ian Casselberry of Yahoo Sports. Story has been out since May 16 due to a sports hernia. Anthony completed an 8-game rehab stint, batting .280 with 2 home runs, 2 doubles, and 4 walks, per Yahoo Sports and Over The Monster. Story's rehab numbers were less encouraging, as he batted .171, though neither outlet detailed his full line.
The Red Sox had two open spots on their 40-man roster, so only active roster moves were needed to accommodate the activations, per MLB Trade Rumors.
