Adley Rutschman hit his first home run as a member of the Boston Red Sox in Tuesday's 9-4 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Rutschman went 2-for-4 with three RBI, while teammate Mickey Gasper also homered, finishing 2-for-2 with two RBI.
The Red Sox scored early and often, per Over The Monster, tallying runs in five of the first seven innings including three in the opening frame. Ranger Suarez picked up his first win since late June, ESPN reported.
The loss dropped Arizona to 4-6 over its last 10 games, per Yahoo Sports, and the Diamondbacks now sit 2 games outside the third wild card spot after the Phillies and Padres both won. Arizona has lost three straight games.
