The Seattle Seahawks have finished their 2026 preseason and now face the mandatory roster cutdown, per Field Gulls. The team must reduce from 91 players to 53 by Sunday, Aug. 30 at 3 p.m. PT. After waiver claims expire on Monday, Aug. 31 at 10 a.m. PT, teams can form their practice squads.
The Seahawks will have the lowest waiver priority to start the season, according to Yahoo Sports, which also provided the full waiver order across the NFL. This lowest priority means Seattle will be last to claim players released by other teams during the waiver period, potentially limiting their ability to add depth from the cutdown wire.
