The 49ers owner has been suspended for six regular-season games and fined $500,000 by the NFL for violating the league's personal conduct policy, per multiple outlets citing the league's announcement.
York's suspension stems from an arrest in an Ohio prostitution sting in August. Yahoo Sports reported that York originally faced a charge of engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools before reaching a plea deal on a lesser charge. Per NFL Trade Rumors, York has already sat out San Francisco's first three games of the season.
The $500,000 fine represents the second component of the NFL's discipline for the violation.
