The 49ers activated defensive lineman Mykel Williams from the reserve/physically unable to perform list Saturday, clearing him to play in his 2026 season debut against the Seahawks on Sunday.

Williams, a first-round pick last year, tore his ACL and suffered meniscus damage in his right knee during his rookie season. ESPN reported the injury occurred less than a year before his return. Per NFL Trade Rumors, Williams had his solid rookie campaign cut short after nine games and is eager to contribute again, saying "I'm going crazy. I'm losing my mind."
