The Philadelphia Eagles have placed second-round pick Eli Stowers on injured reserve ahead of their regular season opener against the Washington Commanders on Sunday.

Per NFL Trade Rumors, the Eagles announced the move Saturday due to quadriceps and hamstring injuries. Stowers, a 22-year-old rookie tight end, will not make his regular season debut as a result. The Eagles also elevated wide receiver Britain Covey to their active roster in the corresponding move.
