Jaguars left tackle Anton Harrison will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL in his right knee, according to league sources who spoke to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. ESPN carried the report. Yahoo Sports described it as the worst-case scenario and said the 2026 season is over for the fourth-year tackle.
The diagnosis comes after Harrison went on injured reserve earlier this month. Pro Football Talk's Josh Alper wrote that when the move was made, the word was that the results of knee surgery would determine how long he would be out. Surgery has now answered that. The summaries we have don't say when or how Harrison was hurt, and they don't name a replacement. We can't say who will fill the left tackle spot.
The timing matters for a Jaguars team in a strong position. They are 4-2 and lead the AFC South by two games over the Colts and Texans, who are both 2-4. Their +50 run differential is the best in their division by a wide margin. In the AFC it trails only Kansas City's +57.
The team's recent results were tight even before this news. Jacksonville beat Cincinnati 22-17 on Oct. 4 and Philadelphia 19-17 on Oct. 11. It then lost 34-31 to Houston on Oct. 18, which is the current one-game losing streak. Two of those three games were decided by two points or fewer.
Our archive has little on Harrison's recent play. His only season of official defensive data is 2023, when he played 17 games. The 2026 box scores we hold give no sign of how much he played this year. The line-by-line record can't show what his absence will cost up front.
The next test is Sunday, Nov. 1, when Jacksonville hosts Indianapolis. The Colts are 2-4 and on a two-game skid, but the game is a divisional one with the Jaguars' lead on the line. It will be the first look at how the line holds up without Harrison.
