Lane Johnson, the Philadelphia Eagles' right tackle, has announced his retirement, per reporting from multiple outlets Tuesday. Johnson, 36, was a first-round pick by the Eagles in 2013 and played 171 games over 14 seasons with the team.
Johnson appeared in only three games during the 2025 season. Per Bleeding Green Nation, a foot injury sidelined him and unexpectedly ended his season, with retirement rumors circulating over the past year. NFL Trade Rumors reported that Johnson had one year remaining on his rookie contract when the Eagles signed him to a five-year, $56.26 million extension.
Johnson is a two-time Super Bowl champion with Philadelphia, according to Bleeding Green Nation.
