Matt Olson hit his 36th home run of the season in the bottom of the seventh inning Sunday, a three-run shot that gave the Atlanta Braves a 5-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The homer broke a tie and proved to be the game-winner, allowing the Braves to salvage the finale of the weekend series.
Breyce Elder was effective for Atlanta, pitching six strong innings. In addition to Olson's three-run blast, Drake Baldwin and Ronald Acuña each drove in runs for the Braves. The win prevented what would have been a three-game sweep by the Diamondbacks.
